Intralogistics

Assembly line is a kind of manufacturing organization forms, the subject of labor, according to certain process route and sequence and certain production rates, finishes continuous repetitive production. Assembly line has the characteristics of unipolarity, Continuous efficiency, Specialization, balance and dominance, which decides plant logistics operations must obey and serve the need of production process flow,  intertwined the process of production technology, so plant logistics has strong cooperation, dynamics, distributing and balance. What’s more, these characteristics change with production environment, condition, market, product model and processing technology, in the end, optimization and balance are achieved.

The contradiction at the production line: efficient pipelining and inefficient material freight which become a bottleneck to keep plant logistics unobstructed. For example, in the process of production logistics reform, an enterprise exists the following problems. Though the platform has a preliminary standardization, there is not any specification on the use of container, and the standardization of packing doesn’t realize, the stacking is still in a mess. On the operation effect, the essence is tantamount to switch to switch a container. After the early period of transformation, the logistics from everywhere can arrive smoothly, but the operation does not just in time (deliver right quantity and quality of products to right place in due time), there is a little margin, which leads to the increase of accumulation of products, piling up at the side line body and influencing the distribution of subsequent material, therefore, production halts take place from time to time. Different types of great bulk and great weight products, which lead to low efficiency of labor and the decrease of assembly quality; at the same time, because the equipment of availability is reduced greatly, once a facility or a procedure is breakdown, it will form the vicious circle and then influence the operation of the whole production line, the reliability of the production line will reduce greatly. The assigned production line has strong rigidity, it has a poor adaption to product structure, when change the line of production, the online and offline of materials is busy, because the workers of all working centers online have been set up, on one hand, the labored handing of workers /influences production; on the other hand, which also gives rise to the materials does not provide appropriately and in a confusion, production operations become nearly paralyzed.

2. The causes of the contradictions  

(1) On the area of ideological understanding, owing to being blind to the importance of “logistics distribution”. Many employees believe that standardization is restricted to the standardization of container, not the standardization of cognition, management and operation, that is to say, the reformation has not touched proper depth and details, and it still rest on the form and surface, consequently, the reformation can’t achieve satisfactory effects.

 (2) JIT distribution has been discounted its value. Because of the influence of internal thinking of delivery personnel, they are suppose that “distribution is to ensure materials are supplied on the production line,” “it is okay to deliver a little more” “if this time be delivered more, next time can be less”, however, they do not consider the tempo and dynamics of the assembly line, in vain, which also increases the burden of online production.

(3) Product mishandled. Different types of products, which fail to adopt different production arrangement according to the property of their production methods and technological process 

(4)The sole assembly line, its own defects tend to high efficiency but no flexibility, various types of products and its frequent, repeating rotations all that result in the production line unable to shoulder the burden.
